35 km north-west of Helsinki, lake Ruuhijärvi 500 m, where a beach in natural state (in shared use). Better public beach about 3 km away.

Log cottage 1957, kitchen-livingroom, where a corner with a high bed (120 cm wide mattress) and under the high bed there is one bed (80 x 200 cm), another sleeping corner with a 140 cm wide double bed, sauna (wood stove), dressing room, entrance hall, terrace.

Separate outbuilding with 5 square alcove. Alcove with 1 bed (80 cm x 195 cm). The other half of the outbuilding is locked (owner's storage room).

The cottage kitchen does not have drainage. Washing of the dishes can be done in a small sink on the corner of the washroom.

The cottage does not have running water, but the water has to be carried from a creek (distance 40 m) or from cottage's rainwater barrels. In the sauna there is a cauldron, where the washing water can be heated. If You have problems for bringing drinking water, please contact the owner well in advance and he can help You.

Flat screen TV has HDMI connection. Bluray player. Internet 4G (the speed of the data connection varies between 20-40 M).

There is an air source heat pump, electric radiators and heat-storing fireplace in the cottage. In winter time cabin is pre-heated to about 16 degrees, but with air source heat pump and fireplace the temperature will rise quickly to 20 degrees.

Note! On arrival check in at earliest 6 pm (18.00) and check out at latest 4.30 pm (16.30).

Traditional log cabin and an outbuilding right on the magnificent natural forests of Nuuksio national park. Here, you have the peace of nature and still the metropolitan area services are only half an hour away by car. The cottage is also accessible by public transport, from Helsinki train station in about an hour with ABC-ticket. The cottage is located in C zone.

Plot of one hectare, a national park is the other side of the creek. You can either spend holiday in your own peace and quiet for a week or a weekend, or use the cottage as a base as you explore Nuuksio National Park.

In the front of the house there is a small slide for children ja some yard toys.

Nuuksio National Park is an immediate neighbor. In the national park there is eg. public campfire sites and roofed cooking places within walking distance, the nearest National Park Attraction Perälä caves 500 meters, Solvalla Sports institute and Ski Resort Solvalla-Swing Hill 2.5 km, the Finnish Naturecenter Haltia with a coffee shop and restaurant 2.5 km, Haukkalampi nature center, where Nuuksio's main hiking routes start 2.5 km, Oittaa Recreation Centre 15 km, Serena Water Park about 25 km, Heureka 40 km, Helsinki 35 km, Espoo Centre 16 km.

This cottage requires outdoor attitude and skills (how to make fire, for example). The cottage is made of thick logs, and by the help of maintenance heat, air source heat pump and fire place you can spend your holiday here also in the winter time."

You can put organic waste in a composting bin. You can pack glass, cardboard and metal neatly and leave it for the owner to transport for recycling. When you leave, you can take the mixed waste to the waste container located by the side of the road (150 m). So here you can also stay ecologically in terms of waste.
