Vesivehmaa Jenkkapirtti dance hall

Heels clack and skirts swirl when the Jenkkapirtti dance hall in Vesivehmaa opens its doors. Here seasoned veterans and first-time dancers alike lose themselves in the swirl of jenkka, a traditional Finnish folk dance. The scent of pine trees, catchy dance rhythms and light summer nights create a unique atmosphere in Vesivehmaa. During the summer season, dances are held every Thursday and Saturday night. In addition to dancing, Vesivehmaa is also ideally placed for great nature excursions, such as to the channels and lakes of Asikkala and Pulkkilanharju Ridge, which is over eight kilometres long.
