Siida
Inari
Siida is situated in the village of Inari, in the heart of the Sámi Area of Finland.
Siida has its roots deep in the history of Inari. It has been erected on Lake Inari, on old dwelling sites. Located at the heart of a living culture, Siida is a northern pathfinder from which the visitor can learn more about Sáminess and about natural conditions in the Arctic. In Siida, the visitor will feel part of the local rhythm of life in the North and sense the respect the Sámi have for Nature.
Today, two institutions form the cornerstones of Siida: the Sámi Museum and the Northern Lapland Nature Centre. In addition, Restaurant Sarrit offers its services for Siida’s customers.
