320 km to the north from Rovaniemi, 29 km to the north from Ivalo, on the Munhaissaari island (lake Inarijärvi). Distance to the beach is 40 m, quite deep bottom with small rocks. There is also a beach with sand bottom nearby. The length of the island is about 700 m, there are no other cabins on the island. There is 1,5 km boat ride from Nanguniemi boat marina to the cabin. In winter, access to the cabin by snowmobile or by skiing. The owner can arrange transfers by an extra fee.
Boat and outboard motor (Suvi 390 and Yamaha 8 hp, 4-Stroke) are included in the price. The owner gives a tank full of fuel. Tank must be returned with full of fuel.

Log cabin, built in the 1960s, renovated in 2020.
In the living room, there are 4 shallow beds that can be stacked on top of each other. Then two higher beds are available.
Kitchen with draining board and sink. There in no water pipe in the cabin. In the summer, drinking water can be taken from a spring located in the yard. During other times, please bring drinking water with you. Water in the spring is not tested every year, so we recommend that you boil water before drinking it.
Terrace and separate "tower terrace".
Lakeside sauna with steam room and dressing room. Water to the sauna must be brought by using bucket from the lake, distance is 10 m. WILDERNESS CABIN: Wilderness cabins are suitable for fishing, trekking and hunting trips. Facilities in the wilderness cabins are often more modest than in holiday cottages. The cabin is not preheated before customers arrival.

The house is heated by a wood-burning fireplace or wood-burning stove, and the kitchen also has a gas heater. The fridge and freezer are LPG-operated. Solar panels will be installed in the cabin before 13.9.2020. Solar power available after that. There is also 2,4 kW generator available.

Munhaissaari cabin is an old and atmospheric wilderness cabin in its own privacy on the island. No other cabins on the same island. Thus, it offers the opportunity for private stay and offers excellent opportunities to enjoy the unique nature of the lake Inarijärvi.

The cabin is not preheated in advance during the cold season.
No possibility for car preheating in the winter.
The accessibility of the island depends on the ice conditions. Due to the weak ice, the cabin will not be accessed in October-December or April-June. Please check the ice conditions from the owner / Lomarengas in advance during these times.

Metsähallitus angling permit (see destination 1580 www.eraluvat.fi) or fisheries management fee (one fishing rod, www.eraluvat.fi) allows you trolling in the lake Inarijärvi.
Small game hunting area in state owned lands: 1612 Tsarmitunturi (www.eraluvat.fi).

Veskoniemi marina by boat 8 km. Grocery shop and gas station in Ivalo 29 km.
