Gofinland service user register.
4 Purpose of processing personal information
The personal information is processed as a contact and customer register of natural persons who have registered for Alma Mediapartners Oyâs Gofinland service. The personal information is used for maintenance and management of the customer relationship, customer and direct marketing, and opinion polls and market surveys. In addition, Alma Mediapartners Oy and companies belonging to the same group are entitled to use and hand over the information in the register for justified purposes (such as direct marketing, distance selling, and market surveys) in accordance with the Personal Data Act. Users may forbid the use of their information for direct marketing purposes, opinion polls, and market surveys by notifying the registrar.
5 Information content of the register
The Gofinland service user register contains the following information:
- Street address, postal code, and city
- Phone number
- E-mail address
- Additional information
- Information provided by the users themselves, including interests
- Information about occupation, training, marital status, and income level are collected only with the consent of the registered
6 Regular sources of information
All information in the register is provided by the registered persons themselves upon registration and use of the service.
7 Regular hand-over of information and transfer of information outside the EU or the European Economic Area
Personal information may be handed over to rental providers that are involved with the Gofinland service and are personally selected by the registered person.
Personal information will not be handed over outside the EU or the European Economic Area.
8 Protection principles for the register
Information saved on computers.
The registered is protected against third-party access. A username and password are required for logging in to the system. Only employees involved in processing the personal information have access to the register. The employees are under an obligation of secrecy as regards the information in the register.
There is no manually processed material in the register.
9 Inspection of the register information
The persons included in the register are entitled to check their information in the register. In order to do this, they must send a written, personally signed request to the registrar or visit the registrar in person. The registrar shall allow these persons to view their information in the register without undue delay and shall provide the information in writing if so requested. Persons included in the register are entitled to check the information once a year free of charge. The requests must be delivered to the person responsible for register issues, indicated in Section 2 of this document.
10 Right to prohibit delivery and correct information
The persons included in the register are entitled to stop using the Gofinland service at any time and thus prohibit all direct marketing related to Gofinland. In this case, the registrar shall remove all personal information related to said persons from the register. The notice of termination can be delivered to the person responsible for register issues, indicated in Section 2 of this document, either by e-mail or by post.
The persons included in the register are entitled to demand correction of an incorrect piece of information in the register. The correction request must be made in writing, and the piece of information to be corrected must be specified. The correction request must be delivered to the person responsible for register issues, indicated in Section 2 of this document.
