Old Keuruu

An area rich in cultural history and landscapes in the heart of Keuruu town centre. The area is built around the wooden church of Keuruu, completed in 1758. The brick church currently in use dates from 1892. The town-centre side of the railway running through the area includes Keuruu Station, the local museum, the Punnonen house with its exhibitions and several shops. The old Keuruu vicarage with its granaries and the Kamana Tourism Centre, renovated from the vicarage's old cowshed, are on the other side of the railway. They form a unique 19th-century vicarage milieu on the shore of Keurusselkä.

The Kamana Tourism Centre, open throughout the year, includes the Vicarage Tavern, Annuli's Shop, the changing exhibitions of Keuruu Museum and a tourism advice bureau. In the summer, the magnificent Old Vicarage offers a summer lunch buffet. The vicarage is open throughout the year in connection with events. It is also available by appointment for family events, meetings and training events.
