200 km north of Rovaniemi, on a small peninsula between river Ounasjoki and river Syvä Tepastojoki. 20 m to the river Ounasjoki, deep, soft bottom, flowing water, a pier. Sand bank in the river in 100 m distance from the cabin is ideally suited for swimming, shallow sandy beach. Own rowing boat.

Combined kitchen-living room with wooden, convertible bed, sleeping alcove with a bunk bed (lower bed is 140 cm wide), there is a folding door in sleeping alcove. Sauna with wood heated "Aito-kiuas" stove (heating time 2-3 hours). Small 12V solar panel for example for charging mobile phones and for lighting (depending on sunlight).
Glazed grill hut on the shore, outdoor privy, campfire place and garden swing.

About 30 m walk from car park to the shore/boat, and about 300 m rowing trip to the cabin. This cabin requires outdoor attitude and skills (how to make fire, for example). If youre not sure, please consider another option.

Lomaniemi is not electrified, but it is cosy cabin on scenic and peaceful place at the confluence of two big rivers. It is suitable for quiet nature vacation and for a base of wilderness hobbies.

Owner brings drinking water at first, then client can fetch water from the owner's house, distance 8 km.

Fishing: The best catches from rivers are grayling and trout. On not-flowing waters, pike is the most common catch. Good rapid fishing places near the cabin, for example rapids Suukoski and Äijäniva in river Syvä Tepastojoki are located about 300 - 500 m distance. Nearest rapids of river Ounasjoki are Alakorva and Vasakorva in 2,5 km distance. For fishing in River Ounasjoki, license of Ounajoki area is needed (in addition to the fishing management fee).

Hunting: State owned land's hunting areas: 2612 Levi and 2611 Pokka-Pulju, both areas are located near this cabin (more information from www.eraluvat.fi).

The cabin is available from June till end of September.
