Devil’s Nest

From the edge of Devil’s Nest to the depths of the cavity. This 23-metre deep eroded cavity was formed in the Ice Age and is located in Ylivalli village in Jalasjärvi. There are stories about the Devil, who lived in the nest, and if anyone dared to look down, the Devil would pull them down into the cavity. People have been fascinated by these legends for centuries, and the place has taken on an aura of mystery. You can even descend into the cavity and see the inside – wooden steps will bring you right down to the bottom!
