In the Lauhanvuori-Hämeenkangas tourist area, activities vary from observing nature to extreme sports. The easy esker landscape in Hämeenkangas is ideal for a range of activities in the wild - hiking, running, mountain biking and horseback riding. The cross-country skiing trail network totals more than 100 km. Trails vary from easy to challenging and are suitable for both classic and skate style skiing. Some of the trails are lit. The trail network is centred in the environs of the Jämi Nature and Sports Centre, the Viidentienristeys area and Kuninkaanlähde. The trails are all interlinked.
In Lauhanvuori National Park, you can admire the view, from the highest hill in western Finland, over the forests and flat Ostrobothnian landscape all the way to the sea. There are various traces of the Ice Age in the spacious pine woods on the hillsides and the dense spruce forest on the summit: ancient shorelines and vast boulder fields.
