Hähnijoki wilderness cabin
cottage, Wilderness cottages, Lieksa, 2+2 persons
This log cabin was built in 1994. It is located on the shore of the Ylimmäinen Häähnijärvi (distance 30 m), 10 km East of village Nurmijärvi. Pier, swimming possibility, but bottom is muddy.
In the cabin there are 2 beds (width 120 cm) and 2 upper beds (width 80 cm). Wood stove heating, solar panel lighting, gas stove with oven, ground cellar under the floor, water well in the yard, indoor wood heated sauna.
Site for an open fire, rowing boat and life jackets. WILDERNESS CABIN: Facilities in wilderness cabins are often more modest than in holiday cottages. Cabin is not preheated before customers arrival. Cabin should be cleaned by the customer during the holiday and after that. Due to long distances maintenance doesnt check the cabin after all customers. If the cabin is not cleaned or there are deficiencies, please contact the caretaker immediately on arrival by calling. Please, remember to bring your own bed linen and towels (can not be rented).
This cabin requires outdoor attitude and skills (how to make fire, for example). If youre not sure, please consider another option. Water is not examined yearly so boiling the drinking water before use is recommended.
Stock of fish: perch and pike. The State Fishing Management Fee needed for lure fishing and netting people >18-year and <65-year. Angling and ice-fishing free of charge. Good trekking possibilities, trail of Karhunpolku within 2 km. Canoeing is possible in rivers Hähnijoki and Jongunjoki.
