Farmhouseholidays the House of Thousand Tales is located in Finnish Lake District, in a peaceful rural village of Kannuskoski, 2 hours from Helsinki-Vantaa airport. It is a family run business, lovely setting in the Finnish country side. Enjoy beautiful scenery, quietness, fresh air, local food and of course the genuine Finnish sauna experience.
Holiday price includes accommodation and half board (brakfast and dinner)
Price includes accommodation in the double or the family room, linen and towels and half board.
Program during Farmhouse holiday can include for example feeding animals, fishing, canoeing, nature hikes, horse riding. Also sauna is included in the price. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a barbecue area at your disposal.
In winter the traditional skiing trail leaves from the yard. You can borrow snow shoes, sledges and sliders. In the Summer you can swim in a nearby lake, go hiking, cykling or angling. By booking in advance you can also rent canoes and bicycles for the duration of your stay.
Cities of Kouvola, Lappeenranta, Kotka and Hamina are les than an hour´s drive from us. Repovesi National Park is a popular hiking destination, also great place for a day trip.

| More information on leisure-time activities: | Guided horseback riding and horse rides are available throughout the year. In the winter there is a sledding hill and a 12 km long cross country ski trail, depending on snow conditions. Snowshoes are for rent. In the summer rental of canoes and bicycles when booked in advance. Good places for picking beries in the summer. Swimming in the nearby lake is possible between noon and 6 pm every day. |
