Bomba House

This must be the most stunning log house in the whole of Finnish Karelia. The original house was commissioned in 1855 by Yegor Bombin who wanted to donate this impressive log home to his son. Even in the mid-1800s, the house was a masterpiece of construction technique, as no iron nails or any other iron elements were used to hold the logs together. The present-day Bomba House was built in 1977–1978 as an exact copy of the original house. The house attracts numerous visitors who can fully enjoy its hospitality. The delicacies of the restaurant and specialities of the beer house together with the entertaining plays running at the open air theatre make this a perfect destination.
