The Rönkkönen Sculpture Park

The results of more than 50 years of artistic work by Veijo Rönkkönen (1944-2010), nearly 500 concrete sculptures on many different subjects, attract thousands of visitors from around the world every year to the Sculpture Park in Parikkala. Among other things, the park includes life-size human statues and sculptures of children at play. There is a series of sculptures devoted to different nationalities. A Gardener's Trail leading to a Secret Garden is hidden away from the stream of visitors. The most famous group of sculptures in the park is the separate Yoga Garden of more than 200 works.
