Petäjävesi Old Church is a unique building, standing quietly looking at the horizon surrounded by green meadows and calm water. This wooden church was built between 1763 and 1764. Both the exterior and interior of the church remain in their original condition and have stood the test of time exceptionally well. The inside of the church is also not to be missed, with its wonderful art, architecture and a peaceful atmosphere. This church is one of Finland's seven Unesco World Heritage sites.
