The size of the antique beds is 70 x 180cm (to be lengthened in the summer of 2022). The cottage is invested with natural materials and Finnish quality, including the horsehair futons, duvets and pillows of wool and organic cotton as well as bed linen and towels of flax.

The cottage is heated with the stove in the sauna room. Water is fetched from the well in the yard. Electric lights. No opportunity for cooking in the cottage - you can use the barbecue shed instead to prepare your meals. There is also a place for an open fire in the area. Or you can borrow a camping gas cooker from us.

Water is fetched from the well or the lake to the sauna building. Outdoor toilet, with two separate sections for women and men.

The price includes: relaxing sauna experience, fresh water from our own well and firewood.

The log cabin with electricity (built in 1986) is situated 110km from Rovaniemi to the southeast, 30km from the centre of Ranua to the east at Lake Saarijärvi at a peaceful head of a bay of its own. The length of Lake Saarijärvi is 3.3km, the width 0.9km and the deepest point about 3km. Beach, swimming platform and rowing boat in common use with the other guests.

Rowing boat to be used without fee, Stand Up Paddle (SUP) board and Canadian canoes for a small fee. Good opportunities to move around and enjoy the very beautiful nature and its bounty.

The cottage is situated in a small nature tourism company with three log cabins, 2 Tentsile tree tents and accommodation in the main house as well. The cottage is a suitable starting point for different outdoor activities in nature, such as hiking and biking, berry and mushroom picking as well as fishing and hunting. Its location also gives good opportunities to visit the wide variety of Ranua's and Posio's tourist attractions. Ranua Zoo 35km, Pentik (a Finnish interior design retailer) in Posio 52km.

Attention! Final cleaning up (€35) is not included the cottage rent. The weekend reservation ends at 3.00 pm.
