72 km to the east from Rovaniemi city center, located in Pirttikoski power plant village, there are several former power plant employees apartments in the area. Nowadays apartments are mainly for holiday and residential use.

200 m distance to the river Kemijoki, 500 m distance along the road, lake-like large water area in the river Kemijoki (lake Juujärvi), steep slope to the beach, boat ramp 700 m, possibility to launch customers own boat.
Stone-built house, built in 1958, renovated in 2020. This is a former river companys high-class guest accommodation. The house has accommodated heads of states and other dignitaries.

Large living and dining area, kitchen, 4 bedrooms, all with double beds and 1 separate bed, sauna, washroom/WC, plus 3 separate WC. On the ground floor, hobby space and bar, full-fledged snooker table and equipment, and 2 extra beds.

Maximum one pet is allowed, but only in the premises showed by the owner (neither in the living room or in the bedrooms). Pets are allowed to stay in the kitchen, hallway and corridor near the entrance. There is a closeable gate between the hallway and the living room. Please bring own bed and food bowls for the pet.

Karhu is a sturdy and well-maintained stone house. It will comfortably accommodate even a larger group of guests. By separate agreement, 14 persons can be accommodated in the destination. The house is ideal as a base for both holiday and wilderness activities.

There is also a piano (not necessarily tuned), accordion and electric smoker in the cabin.

Several ski resorts within 1 - 1.5 h drive distance. There is a ski trail within 50 - 100 m distance, which can be used if snow situation allows.

Fishing: Juujärvi, located upstream from the cabin. Lake Juujärvi is a lake-like large water area in the river Kemijoki, ideal for boating and fishing. Fishing in lake Juujärvi and other lakes and ponds is usually permitted with fisheries management fee. One fishing rod and one lure can be used. More information see (www.eraluvat.fi). However, fishing is not permitted in stream waters considered containing migratory fish.
