Log cabin Eteläkangas is built in 1992 and located in a peaceful spot near little River Eteläjoki.

Cabin has open kitchen, sofa bed for two in the main room, sleeping loft (15 m²) with 4 mattresses, steep stairs to the loft. Electricity, water pipe (water from a drill), small wood-heated indoor sauna. Airsource heat pump.

Swimming place. Distance from the cabin to the river 30 m. Water is low in summer and autumn. WILDERNESS CABIN: Facilities in wilderness cabins are often more modest than in holiday cottages. Cabin is not preheated before customers arrival. Cabin should be cleaned by the customer during the holiday and after that. Due to long distances maintenance doesnt check the cabin after all customers. If the cabin is not cleaned or there are deficiencies, please contact the caretaker immediately on arrival by calling. Please, remember to bring your own bed linen and towels (can not be rented).
This cabin requires outdoor attitude and skills (how to make fire, for example). If youre not sure, please consider another option. Water is not examined yearly so boiling the drinking water before use is recommended.

Mobile phone or internet does not work properly at the cabin due to weak signal.

Distances: Kestilä (where food trade, gas station, restaurant) 30 km. Vuolijoki 30 km. Oulu 120 km. Kajaani 75 km. Manamansalo ferry 25 km.

Cottage is surrounded by good blueberry and lingonberry areas.
Pyhäntä 5630 small game hunting area begins on the other side of the river (licenses: www.eraluvat.fi). In autumn the river can be crossed by feet. Also possibility to hunt beaver in hunting club's area by rivers Eteläjoki and Itäjoki (beaver hunting license information from the owner).

Cabin can be reached by car. Cabin is rentable from April to November.
