Yyteri is the 60th district of Pori. It is located in the Meri-Pori area in the western part of the Yyteri peninsula. Yyteri is known for its sandy beach. With a length of six kilometres, it is one of the longest in Finland and in the Nordic countries. The Yyteri sands are one of the few active dune areas in Finland. Keisarinpankki, the oldest and highest dune wall, is located at the entry to the sands. The Yyteri sand dunes attract travellers and local residents to the beach throughout the summer. Yyteri offers many different forms of sport, such as golf, riding, beach volleyball and surfing. Yyteri has more than 30 kilometres of hiking trails and nature trails and more than ten bird-watching towers.
